Cowboys Edge Out Lions 20-19 in Thriller at AT&T Stadium | NFL Week 17
The Dallas Cowboys edged out the Detroit Lions 20-19 in a thriller at AT&T Stadium on Sunday night, securing their place in the 2023 NFL playoffs.
The game was close throughout, with both teams having chances to win. The Cowboys started well under Dak Prescott, and took the lead in the fourth quarter with a 92-yard touchdown pass to CeeDee Lamb. The Lions, however, refused to give up, and Jared Goff found Amon-Ra St. Brown for an 85-yard touchdown to tie the game.
The Cowboys had one more chance to win the game. With 1:12 left in the fourth quarter, Prescott attempted a 45-yard field goal, but it was no good. The Lions, however, were unable to get into the Cowboys' end zone, and the Cowboys held on for the victory.
With the win, the Cowboys finished the season with a 14-3 record, and will host the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the playoffs.
